About Wally's
“Wally” came to Marsh Harbour in 1959. He successfully established what is today the Conch Inn and owned the properties now occupied by Mangoes and Curly Tails.
Having retired from the Restaurant business in 1981 he shortly thereafter began a retirement “project” and built the Pink building known as Wally’s in 1984/85.
On June 6th 1986 Wally’s Restaurant and Boutique opened its doors with Wally, Maureen and Barbara running the show. Wednesday Happy Hour was the big night, and lunch was served Monday thru Saturday with dinner only being served on Mondays as a fixed menu. The staff included Angie, Edie, Meka and Joyce. Shortly thereafter they were joined by Celia, Ms. Rolle, Tasha, Jackson and Anna. These long term “family members” – now including Lois, Renee and Keva - are still serving you today.
In 1997 the Restaurant property was sold to a partnership involving Harbour View Marina however the Wally’s tradition has lived on. In 2012 Wally passed away. He will be forever missed and never forgotten.
Today, the owners and the staff (over 165 combined years at Wally’s) present you with fresh five star Bahamian/International cuisine in a relaxed yet classic atmosphere. We welcome you to Wally’s and welcome back those who continue to visit us year after year.
